The "Classic" Lug Bug dinghy is our original all purpose car top tender/trainer, and as such, has been in production for over ten years, and regularly exhibited at the Southampton and Earls Court Inernational Boat Shows, the basic concept has not altered
 over the years, but certain things have evolved to improve the breed. We still use the grp moulded hull, but have developed a new inner moulding to produce even more built-in buoyancy, this moulding keeps maintenance down to a minimum, whilst the careful use of selected hardwoods continue to give the "Lug Bug" it's distinctive character and timeless charm. The spars of the easily handled lugsail are made from choice "Douglas Fir" and fit within the length of the hull when stowed, the option of white or traditional style tan sail cloth gives each "Lug Bug" a distinct appeal. Whilst the internal moulding is an "easy on the eyes" cream, set off with oiled hardwood trim, you have a choice of hull colour (see below). All timbers are treated with an easy wipe wood-oil, thus ensuring that the Lug Bug "Classic" is as easy to maintain as she is to use.
The reinforced transom will take upto a 3.3hp outboard or small electric unit.
